First 2008 news update

Look! We finally got the first news update of 2008! It wasn't really much of an update. More of a "we did this, this and this, and we're really sorry about deleting everyone's journals in May 2007, and even though hardly anyone actually likes the flagging feature, we're still keeping it ( Read more... )

It would have been nice if they acknowledged the limitations to the searches in the news update.

Other than that, I think everyone has been waiting to see what SUP does.

At the moment we're in a limbo state. LJ is still in the depths of its 100 day plan, and whilst there may very well be much activity behind the scenes, little if any of it has impacted directly on the users in recent weeks. This, I think, is to be expected. As with any company there will be things they need to sort that won't have any effect on us (unless they don't get done). Just have a look at GreatestJournal if you want an example of what could go wrong if the infrastructure isn't strong enough.

Like altamira16 says, I'm waiting to see what SUP does.
