I wanted to let the LJ Speaks community know about the creation of ljunited-- a coalition of LiveJournal users dedicated to putting forth a slate of two qualified candidates for the upcoming LJ advisory elections, drawn from individuals who believe in basic principles for LiveJournal that are very much appreciated by and in line with the beliefs of the LJ

Odd, as I used LJ's standard web post client.

Could've been that I copied and pasted sections from other posts... but still, I'm curious how those tags got in there. Stripped them out with an html edit.

That is odd! I'll have to test that then, there are a lot of strange HTML artifacts in the post text, like random , that someone typing up the post raw wouldn't have.

Was it the plain client or the rich client? Did you type it up in another program before copy pasting it in?

Nope... all in LJ rich client window.

What could be the case is that sometimes when you copy a post in the rich client, and then paste it in to the rich client window, some things change.
