Interlude: End of Day 5

Apr 03, 2006 08:28

It takes a while, but eventually the group manages to move enough of the debris to make room for a few people to sleep at a time.

The night passes uneventfully. Everyone heals their level in hp, 1 point to each ability score that is damaged, and Victor, Lugh, Punch, and Cora level up.

Swindler, make a fort save.

Cora says, "I would kill for a cup of coffee. Oh well. If anyone needs a little healing, just let me know."

**Fort Save - 6 [4 +2]

If anyone needs him, I'm sure Swindler will be doing what Swindler does best, hacking up breakfast in the corner.

Cora does notice that Swindler still does seem to not be feeling well. She might want to check him out.

Spend some time with Swindler and make a heal check, and he can use that instead of the really bad save he just made below.

Cora takes 20 to do what she can for Swindler.

*Heal 20+9=29

Swindler still doesn't look all that great, but he does not take any more ability damage.

While Cora inspects Swindler Jug'Jug will pick any wood out from the debree (if there is none she will use some she collected) and start a small cooking fire near the forge's vent. Pulling a dagger she will slice up a few of the fresher rats into steaks, roasting them over the fire with the steel javalins.

She will take 20+2=22 on her cooking craft, making sure the meat is throughly cooked and anything vile burnt away.

Regarding Talbot, offering him a piece of rat.

"Com'b, eet. Jug'Jug only wizh der mur uff dez.. und not dem ugli demon rats."

Holding one of the hot rods with her leather gloved hand she will bite into a flank after blowing on it.

"Errrrrrrm, thank you, madam Jug'Jug, I suppose."

Talbot takes one of the rats hesitantly and blows on it a bit before taking a tiny bite.

*munch munch*

"...hey, this isn't too bad!"

[Not to mess up anyone, but I think it'd be fair to point out that Cora couldn't take 20 there, as you can't take 20 on anything that has a penalty for failure - failure, in this case, meaning Swindler loses more STR. Taking 20 implies trying again and again, failure after failure - essentially, rolling the die 20 times till you get 20.]
