Has anyone read Special Topics in Calamity Physics? It is my all-time favorite novel (because it's basically my crazy life) but the cover is ATROCIOUS. I've seen more people who have read it recently, so here's hoping someone can fill this.

And if not...JUST READ IT.

I agree about the cover. It's both boring AND ugly, which are each cardinal sins on their own and soooo much worse together.

THANK YOU. It is just so...blah. It's no wonder so few have read it. If there were more striking colors it would even be more noticeable! And it's such a shame because I love the novel so much.

Lord above the cover I had was terrible so absolutely gunning for someone to take this up.

Out of interest, which cover did you have? I read the UK version so I wonder if it's the same or if it's had the misfortune of being bad in all the countries

Do you have the rose one?

I saw one that I think is Penguin Classics that wasn't atrocious.

Oh man, I'd take that over the rose anyday. I prefer a more graphic style anyway but lord that rose cover was just such a terrible 80s cover despite being written in the 00s.
