I'm going through a rough patch today. I feel like the world is overrun with stupidity and rubbish. I'm thinking of popular culture and currents events in particular. I don't watch television, but I'm online a lot.

I am listening to the Penguin Cafe Orchestra in an attempt to neutralize this disheartening feeling.

I could use some reminders, some evidence, that intelligence, beauty, and refinement still exist.
