Ok, so this f*cking $2K+ Pentium 4 computer with built in Intel(r) 82801AA/AB/BA/CA AC'97 Audio Controller is too retarded to record midi coming from my keyboard. Keyboard is fine, midi cable is fine, records and plays back nicely on my old sound blaster 16 card installed on my old Pentium 1. Any of my knowledgeable friends got any idea what might be wrong in this picture ? Windows XP ? I need different drivers ? (Couldn't find an upgrade, I checked that first)
At least it's not the keyboard. This needs to work tonight so I can make actual music tomorrow.
