Status Update

First: the multi‑user stuff got placed on the back burner a while ago, because I started it in what is (in hindsight) completely the wrong direction. As of right now, that project is being scrapped, though some of the code will make it into the main tree.

Second: the RTF‑to‑HTML class I’ve spent so much time on lately is likely going to be scrapped. It doesn’t work, I haven’t been able to make it work, and since I know how the old class works, I’m more likely to be able to get that working correctly.

Third: I’m going back to school full‑time in January in hopes of pursuing a degree. I will, therefore, be unlikely to have the time to actively work on LJ.NET for quite some time, though this will depend on how strenuous my course load turns out to be.

Over the next week or so I’ll be looking over the code I have and figuring out what I plan to keep from it, after which I’ll put it all together and slap out a release. My goal is to have this released by Thanksgiving (25 November); this may not be possible, but that’t what I’m shooting for. In any case, there will be a new release by Christmas.

Basically, I’m issuing notice that the project may sit for a while following the next release, which should be fairly soon. Unless some other developer picks up the ball, of course, in which case development will continue.
