I give up. I zipped up the XML-RPC fork‑let I’ve been working on, reverted to flat, and then whipped the challenge/response part together in a couple of minutes. if anyone wants the result of that, you can get it here (source here).
one of these days I’m going to learn to keep a changelog and incremental patches. but not this week. ¬_¬
(bad habits, I know. that’s why nobody’s seen patches from me yet. sorry! there are quite a few changes, though.)
