MAC Weekend!!!
I am racing, as always, on the yacht Endurance, section 10. Our start is 11:30 AM on Saturday, 7/19. For those geeky enough to be interested, here's an email from the race committee, including links to help you track the race (as in, know where all the boats are on the lake at any given time):
"Dear Sailors and Friends,
As you know all boats in the 2008 Race to Mackinac will be tracked by GPS transponders from iBoat. We encourage you to go to the tracking site on-line throughout the race, as boat positions will be updated hourly as they make their way up the Lake.
To track the boats, go to www.chicagoyachtclub.org and click on the button that says "Track the Race to Mackinac." This will take you to the tracking page where you can follow the race. In order to help you learn the site, we've put together a short how-to document. Click Here to download it.
We encourage you to forward this on to your family, friends and co-workers so that all can enjoy following this historic event."
