Yet the comic did start the whole story with a statement that I've been supporting for years: "Women are smarter than men." If this is true, it gives women the greater capacity for cruelty and manipulation, while it gives men the greater tendency towards thoughtlessness and asininity. Of course, the final result of this type of behavior for the partner on the receiving end is the same sort of pain, whichever your gender.
Damn, jokes get a lot less funny when we analyze them like this. What happened to the good old days of mindless stereotyping? :-P I've gotten myself all sad and frightened now. Bummernation.
