Wow, extrapolating fashion across centuries. And these days, jean-styles don't last longer than a few years. Although, I suppose we have been wearing jeans in the West for about a century, with it becoming more and more prevalent as time goes on. I wonder what historians three centuries hence will think of jeans?

Yeah, it's hard to imagine because technological innovation was much slower and production levels much lower in the 1st century, meaning the pace of sartorial change was also slower. Fortunately there are books on clothing from a preceding period that's closer to my chosen time, meaning I have some anchor for my backward extrapolation--and I also get to apply a lot of imagination, because the records and evidence are so incomplete.

I wonder what historians three centuries hence will think of jeans?

At least one person thinks they cause earthquakes when women wear them. XD
