She was called Jessie to her friends online, but her real name was Lynn, she died Thursday night in suspisious circumstances and her mum has been arrested on suspision of her murder, even though it was assisted suicide...she was very sick, but she will forever remain in my heart and many others.

I'm so sorry to read this. For everyone. Her mother gave her the only gift she could...the gift of peace. And for that she is punished. I can only hope they don't throw the book at her too hard...

I've been in contact with the police to bring to light the LJ entry Jessie made about wanting to die so that they know it was what SHE wanted, and that her mother gave her an end to the suffering she faced on earth. I'm hoping it will help her mother because Jessie wouldn't want her to go to prison for what she did.

Joey, hi I knew you via Lynn's flist. I want to urge you to please not give details of Lynn's personal journal to the police.

She mentions things there that could be incriminating to her mother when taken out of context and I am really worried this could make her life more difficult than it already is.

I know Lynn would not have wanted her mother dragged through the courts for what was her decision.

Unfortunately if you've already contacted them I fear it may be too late.

I do not intend to give them the diary, I don't have access to her whole journal, but I do have access to one entry that I believe would help Kay in this troubling time.

My intention was for good only and I have no choice now but to give them access to the ONE entry I was referring too, I hope that Jessie will forgive me for this as my intention was only to help, and yes, it is too late to change that now.

I'm sorry if you feel I've made a grave error, but as I've said, my intention was to help and there was nobody to guide me but my own feelings on the matter and they were that Jessie (sorry she will always be Jessie to me) would not want her mum to suffer for what was her decision and that what I did in contacting the police was for the best. They told me they already knew of her online diary and her online communties so they would have gotten access somehow so I feel it would be better for the access to be given with someone who knew Jessie to explain how she was feeling when she wrote that.

Sorry to sound like I'm being bitchy (I'm really not), but this is a public entry and your comment could be incriminating in itself as it will alert them that there is something to be investigated.

Believe me, I've had the defence team all over my LJ in 2004 to look to see if I was making up being raped, and found other stuff to incriminate me instead (ie. that I liked to have a drink every now and then, bastards) so that the case was dropped.

Of course, at the end of the day, if the CPS feels the need to go through Jessie's journal they're going to find a way anyway. At this point it may be too late to do anything. :(

I really do hope this works out for Jessie's Mum. I don't have a stance on Euthanasia as at this point to be either way could be damaging for my career, but I do take comfort in the fact that Jessie is no longer suffering, no matter how sad I feel.
