new! with a bonsai

I was given a serissa snow rose today, for free, from a Japanese festival that we have annually in the mall.



I'm very unsure at this point what I should do with it. I know nothing about bonsai, but am eager to learn. I read that serissa cuttings root easily in water, but is it too late to do it?

Any and all advice is appreciated.
