Not a bad day after all.

So funny story.
It's not really funny actually.
More like sucktastic.
Anyway.
So Troy and I were walking to the stadium this afternoon on our way to the UM/State game.  We left my dorm room and I asked where I was going to put my ticket since I didn't bring my purse.  I ended up sticking it in the front pocket of my jeans; my shirt was covering the ticket so I didn't think anything of it.  We come to cross the street where the Northwood buses load, and I reach into my pocket, and realize that my ticket is GONE.
So we turned around and started to look for it, but we already knew it was in someone else's hands.  What makes me really upset is that I was excited to be able to see this game.  I have only been to the first game because I've had to work the past two other Saturdays.  Plus, duh, it's the State game.  I really wanted to be a part of that, and now I have to wait two more years.

But then.

Kelly called me a little after kickoff.  She and Barnard were at Charley's watching the game and asked if I wanted to join them.  I haven't seen them since their wedding, and I've been meaning to call her since she's so close now.
It was perfect timing.  When I got to my room after Troy and I parted, I just closed the door and screamed.  Then I asked "Why?"  And then I got my answer.  The truth is, I would've much rather spent time with Kelly than see any football game.  And now, at the expense of missing the biggest game of the year, I got that opportunity.

God works in mysterious ways.  This was too close and too much of a coincidence to call it anything other than the work of God.
