One bug and one feature request

Bug: ljArchive sends date information as formatted by the person's local machine, which LJ's XMLRPC interface doesn't always understand. I haven't peeked into the code yet, but it's probably a "DateTime.ToString()" instead of a "DateTime.ToString(AmericanDateFormattingString)".

Feature Request: Proxy support. Some of us are "not welcome to use the ( Read more... )

I don't believe LJA is being currently supported. I'm sure that if you have the ability to work with the code and have some ideas, your efforts would be welcomed.

I think I've tried backing up someone's suspended journal (logged in as the suspended journal) in the past and it didn't work. Does this work now? If not, can it?

I don't think so. As far as I remember, suspended accounts do not have any access to their journal via the API.

LJA seems to be pretty much back to the status of "abandonware," thankfully it's on SourceForge so new folks can pick it up if they're so inclined.

I'll be honest: I really love this project but I have zero programming skills to offer to it. Still, I'd like to do something to see it advanced and updated. If you have the skills and the time to work on the project I'd like to do something for you (buy you a DVD in thanks, or something).

Did you have any specific features in mind that you'd like to see?

I've just downloaded the software - I've not had a chance to play with it yet.

My purpose is to do things I can't do through LJ.

1. (deleted)

2. I don't know if this grabs the IP address from comments where it has been saved - if not, that is an essential feature in troll control. We should have the IP's in the archive file if they exist.

3. Additionally it would be nice to have the ability to list (for any particular member) all IP's ever used by them.

4. It would be nice to click on any IP and have it display a list of all users who have ever used that IP address.

5. Chart the activity for any particular member - by day, by week, by month... to see in a graph when they were active / dormant. Also a chart broken into 24 periods (one hour each) showing what times of the day a member is most / least active , probably displayed in UTC.
