Addition to #288

Is it worth noting that the items in #288 apply to communities as well (obviously with the exception of things like ScrapBook hosting and such that they never had in the first place)?

Comes about as a result of this requestPersonally, I don't think it's necessary but I'm just putting it out there to see what other people think ( Read more... )

The request itself also needs to be in Docs, as we're using the category as the primary "this needs to be done" tracking system now. Status-pending here in userdoc is useful for those who don't want to answer in the category and just comment on discussions, but if there's no green request it might never actually get *done*. I need to post to lj_s about how this is all supposed to work with referrals from existing requests ( ... )

Well, we certainly didn't communicate very well with each other on this, did we? :)

The reason I was going for requests vs. status-pending is because, well, s-p gets ignored. A lot. Bright green requests don't. But, yes, green is bad and so forth, so I can understand not using it that way. I'll just have to nag -- frequently -- to keep the old s-p from building up.

In that case, we may go back to the old "smackdown" system or a variation - at least on a trial basis: anyone can handle any pending proposal they have the privs for, at any time, but once every week or two, someone goes through and cleans up everything else left open.

288 could definitely use some clarification when it comes to communities. I'd ultimately like to see 288 mirror 114 (paid time expiration), and to see both of them more state "what happens to paid/plus communities" a bit more clearly.

Maybe I can have a crack at a draft for it then, I need to let Ryan know of some faqcats I'm interested in editing so I think I'll ask for Account Levels :)

Done. I tried to highlight the major features (while marking which applied only to personal accounts) and pointed to the account level comparison chart for more information.
