Oh, is that why my tweets didn't post for two days? You guys were pushing new code?

Awesome. :/

What about the glitch where long comment threads break the page in S2? Are you even working on this thing that's been a pain in our butts for months?

How about fixing email notifications?

Nice to see I finally got my email notification for this -- four days later.

So why did I get a notification in my email this morning about my username in a post that when I clicked on it, was locked? I don't really care that someone mentioned me, only that it seems like that's a privacy issue, since part of the post is contained in the email and if it had been a post that was friends-locked for a personal reason, I would have been able to read part of it.

Perhaps it was locked after the fact?

I can't imagine why; all the other entries in the journal were locked as well.

Perhaps they messed up and posted it as public at first, then went back as soon as they noticed and changed it to friends-only (or whatever)? The notification would have gone out immediately when it first posted.

I'm suspicious. There is no blatant idiocy in this new release? What went wrong?

I concur. Clearly they are slacking!

So that's why email notifications stopped working this week! You should probably post a warning when you temper with the notifications, just so we know what to expect.

Actually, LJ was on some spam block lists for a while last week which caused a lot of people to not get notifs.

And how does that happen? I'm completely ignorant. I just know one day I stopped recieving notifs, and then the next days they started arriving out of order.

Because of all the spammers on this site, sometimes LJ itself gets identified as the spammer rather than whoever owns the accounts and LJ has to work with the spam block list[s] to get the site off of it. Some e-mail providers use those lists to stop e-mails from listed domains from ever reaching your inbox or even your spam folder.
