Release #96.6

Sep 21, 2012 10:25

We've pushed out another patch to fix some of the bugs which were in the new update page.

Bug fixes:

  • The Tag selector works with tags that begin with punctuation characters.
  • Text randomly being removed from the end when posting long entries should no longer occur.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented long entries from being edited & deleted.
  • Userpics can ( Read more... )

When are you going to fix the component 3 column style? It's been messing up since the last bug fixes. My journal has looked terrible since, and I'm not happy. I'm also a paying customer!!!

Agreed! This ISN'T our fault. The custom component layouts were FINE until Release 95. There is a bug/glitch in Release 95 causing the issue.

Please do not tell us that it's an error on our end and that you can't reproduce the error on base codings. It WILL *NOT* work on base codings. It HAS to be a custom component layout/layer. Also, I can bet 95% of the users did NOT change ANYTHING in their codes between the night of August 1 and when Release 95 went live.

Please fix this.

Wow! They're saying it's OUR fault? WTH? It was FINE before Release 95. Hey LJ are you going to continue to IGNORE our requests??? WE PAY FOR OUR JOURNALS and we deserve to get these things FIXED!!!!

What about the profile tags and the community statistics not working? It's been reported, many times, still no news of it. Will we get a refund for not having access to a service given to paid accounts (community stats)? I'm honestly not waiting for one, and I'm sorry about the agressiveness (I know you're not responsible, I know it's been reported), but I'm a little annoyed at the lack of communication about this - I can live without it for a while, but no inclusion in the latest news to say someone was trying to fix the problem (if there is someone trying to do so), as if everything was fine.

I hope a fix for the userpic-chooser will be in the next patch. Not being able to see a simple drop-down list of my 50+ pics is really frustrating.

Please, one simple question - why are you doing this at all? People, your users, think it's horrible, yet you just ignore this completely. What's the reason for making these ugly-ass changes other than pissing off your userbase?

I've been defending you for 9+years, but it's getting more and more difficult to do so.

This x 1000.

Honestly guys, how about you stop working on patching the crappy new release that no one likes and fix some of the bugs that have been creeping in ever more frequently? I'm starting to resent that I ever gave you money. Pretty sure the only people who actually like this update are Dreamwidth, because every time you guys roll out another half-arsed release, another bunch of us go and buy paid time over there.

I don't know if it's a bug associated with this change or not, but spell check has been flaky (but only when making posts, not in reply mode) for the last week or so. Would be really nice to have that functioning at 100% again.
