only minimalism? why not one of the layouts that people actually use most to make custom layouts? because i love custom layouts but like the (old) default comment page
i guess it could be worse though, because fuck is there some ugly layouts
Probably because Minimalism was the easiest one to get it to work in. I know for a while there was a code floating around that made the comment pages in Minimalism's Georgia style close to what the classic commenting style looked like.
Plan on rolling out options for the old commenting system for other styles like, say, Flexible Squares? I don't want to have to redesign my journal just to have the old design.
Good news that it's happened on one design though. The new commenting style is horrible. Period.
There are userscripts you can use to bring back the preview button! And also provide a little bit of sensibility with the fonts and the look of the new default comment page!
The thing is that it shouldn't be necessary to use user scripts. And with the haste that changes are shoved down our throats here, one has to alter them five effing times a week to keep up. But it's still better than nothing, of course. :)

Fantastic!
The ability to use 'class' and 'id' HTML attributes in entries has been restored for paid & permanent accounts.
Thank you.
S1 comment pages now display how long it has been since a collapsed comment was posted,

I still wish you'd bring back the preview button and the previous commenting page on all styles!
