Patch release 88.2

A patch release has just been put out. It fixes a few of the major problems with expanding threads and other AJAX-y style problems with the new commenting form. Note that comments can be edited by the author up until the point the comment is replied to by another user.

You mean the comment where the useful person tells you that your html is messed up? :-P

Those icons have been around since the dawn of time :) I wondered occasionally whether they'd get dropped at some point.

Still, I miss them a bit.

I second that emotion so hard. The whole reason we're in this "fix" (ha) is because LJ s trying to be more like Tumblr and Facebook. Those sites have their uses, but damnit, the people who use those sites primarily abuse the "like" button, pressing it in favor of actually taking the time to comment or add to a discussion. At the risk of sounding like an elitist, I come to LJ specifically because I don't want to deal with those lazy meatheads.

So annoying when someone tries to be helpful by pointing out an error that you would have seen and fixed if only you'd been able to preview the comment first.

FFS I can't change icons. The icon I selected was my Facebook "like" icon. It keeps reverting to my default.
