Release 88 is now live!

Features:

Site-scheme comment pages have been redesigned! Any journal or community which has disabled customized comment pages, such as this community, have been updated. While I like the ease of inserting links and photos, the lack of subject lines for comments is extremely problematic, as is the new userpic choice design. For somebody who lives in a place where the connection is not always reliable, this is the perfect way to kill my internet.

The LJ Hook extension for Firefox and Livejournal Extension for Chrome (which is not quite as good as LJ hook) has always made it simple for me to insert photos, links, etc. to comments (and adds no lag to the posting process -- it's also faster than the buttons on this comment form). Why the designers didn't ask the extension designers for advice, I'll never understand.

I don't know about LJ Hook, but the Chrome extension can no longer expand all comments automatically. I had to scroll down to the bottom of the page, click "Check All", then click "Expand", and then wait for a couple of minutes (literally - and I'm on a fast university network) while all the comments sloooooowly expanded.

YES! So basically we can either see a useless list of usernames or an entire page of comments, both of which suck.

This SO MUCH. I'm on dialup, and now LJ's causing me computer issues just to view pages. It took several minutes just to post this!

This! It takes far, far too long to load all of the userpics every time you want to make a comment. In addition, why are they not in alphabetical order anymore? *head/desk*

AND WHY DID I JUST HAVE TO PROVE I WAS A HUMAN BEING TO MAKE THIS COMMENT???

sob yes, THIS. Expanding everything is NOT PRACTICAL and my computer can't even handle it...
