Thank you.

When are you going to address the ongoing problems with the nav bar? It's been months since you've even admitted that there are problems. I'm not asking for an instant fix, but an estimated timetable for addressing the issues would seem to be something you could supply.

If you don't know what issues I'm talking about, I'd be happy to fill you in. As I'm sure others would be. We don't all have the same concerns.

If you can provide specific details as to what elements of it are causing problems, I can make sure everything's properly documented in our bug reporting system, or let you know if anything is considered an intentional change.

1) Changing this would be difficult, as we've seen reports from people who use LJ in lower resolutions (1024x768 and lower) of there being too much content in the nav strip which results in things starting to overlap in random ways as it just doesn't fit. Keeping things tiny reduces this problem, but at the cost of it being harder to read for people using higher resolutions. It's a hard issue to find a perfect balance on, as either way we go with it, somebody's going to have a worse usability experience.

2) I agree completely that it should behave this way, and have opened a bug report about the behavior (LJSV-1694). Please be aware that there is no ETA for when this issue may be resolved.
