I have the sudden panicky urge to inquire whether comments to/from OpenID users get sent properly, since there used to be that bug where they'd only show up in the inbox.

I'm an "ad-supported" user. I understand you make money from ads. However, the new full-screen ads are causing me to immediately go to another site without looking at them, and they're definitely NOT convincing me to start paying for LJ. At this point, I'm about ready to look elsewhere, or simply stop blogging since I wasn't doing it a lot anyway.

I hit the 'back' button every time that stupid ad pops up. I haven't watched it yet. And I never will. Suck it, Live Journal.

The super annoying thing about those full-screen ads I mostly use only a netbook with a tiny screen, and the ads are so large that the close button is outside my viewing window and I have no way to access it. I just have to reload the page until I don't get it anymore because I literally can not close it.

Hmm, I'm not in NZ but I'm still getting the hanging script on the l-stat subdomain as are some others. What do I do then?

You should do the same - we're investigating this issue, we're not 100% certain of the cause, so it will probably help a lot!

Alright then, I shall. Do I just append another comment to my request or e-mail it directly to Support?

Adding to your existing ticket is probably best. Thank you for the help!

Additional point:

Notifications on comments from anonymous users aren't coming in at all. Given that quite a few comms rely on anon posting for various reasons (secrets, kmemes, even anonymous meme posts on journals themselves) this is a rather big problem. Especially given the size of these comms, when you're forced to troll through several thousand comments to try and find what you're looking for

This should have been fixed about an hour ago. If you don't see any as of this evening, can you please let me know?

ok, we seem to be tangling over our feet here - there is a note on the support page that all notifications are currently turned off and are queued due to issues. Is this still the case? if so, there's not much I can confirm until that's sorted :)

Oh, wow. Which Support page is that? That's not the case at all right now.

I'm in New Zealand, and I've been having the above problems when trying to access LJ for the past couple of days. I'm not with Orcon though. My ISP is Telecom. Are you aware of any problems with them as well?
