Does this mean that in the Links List in Component I can now put an IMG tag for an RSS or XML graphic with the link? If not, has thought been given to adding that to component -- I notice that a number of other styles have the RSS box.

No, unfortunately, this is just for the "free text" boxes -- sometimes called "blurbs" or "about this journal". In Component, it's at http://www.livejournal.com/customize/options.bml -- "Components" tab, "Free Text Component" text box.

All I can say is "wow, keep up the awesome work." It's so nice to be in a community where the maintainers care about stuff like this!

Entry count on the profile would decrease by two when deleting one entry

The best is when you delete just over half your entries, and it tells you that you have no entries!

So will this retroactively fix entry counts? Or is the fix only for deletions that happen from now on?

Well, the problem isn't that the count itself was wrong, we were just caching it wrong -- so after the entry count caches expire (which is every two days), it'll fix itself. It's always fixed itself, but now it won't break in the first place. I hope. :)
