What was it? I've never heard of it and since this and several other posts all sat in moderation for ages it is long gone. :(

Ive seen it mentioned, apparently it was a listing of single people to try and hook up?

Mostly, in context of the lj founder getting dumped and then implementing this feature.

It was a dating feature. You could use it to indicate your availability to other LJ users and what type of relationship you were looking for, and then people could use its Search feature to find potentially suitable partners.

It was never particularly successful, mostly because it wasn't what people used LJ for, and as such it was never widely advertised.
