A comical application of this is that if someone is reading from a (possibly private) filter, it will tell you what the name of that filter is. For instance, instead of saying that it was read from

http://www.livejournal.com/users/samplefakeusername/friends/

or

http://www.livejournal.com/users/samplefakeusername/friends/?skip=20

(hmm - why isn't samplefakeusername checking her/his Friends page more frequently?)

or

http://www.livejournal.com/users/samplefakeusername/friends?style=mine

but possibly something like

http://www.livejournal.com/users/samplefakeusername/friends/privatefiltername/

thus disclosing the existence of a filter, public or private, entitled privatefiltername. A Friend of mine, possibly apocryphally, disovered that he was on a Friend's filter entitled "not irredeemable" that way. (No names, no pack drill, but [s]he can claim the credit if [s]he likes.)

Quite so.

Another way to fool it would be to directly link to that img in an entry of yours, and then have the user think that all of YOUR friends are reading his journal.

And don't hate on samplefakeusername! He has a lot of friends and he was busy at work today. He can't ALWAYS have time for lj.
