I'm a Republican, and proud of it. I am also prochoice, support our right to bear arms, want illegal immigrants out of the country, welcome those who come here legally, and believe people should be able to love whomever they please without it being a barrier to serving in the military or getting married.

I don't like cutting that program. Like any large program, there will be misuse and abuse. You get rid of the people causing the problems, not the program. OTOH, cuts must be made somewhere, and I wouldn't like to be the one making those decisions.

I've always voted according to my conscience and not along straight party lines. In the past, I've voted for Independents, Libertarian and the occasional Green Party member. Heck, I even voted for Bill Clinton, because I thought we needed a change. However, if there is a condidate or issue I'm undecided on, I vote Republican.
