No, because incompetent sysadmins at the sites where the hacked machines were flooding from didn't have their routers configured correctly, so the packets got out onto the net with forged source addresses.
People that don't know how to configure the stuff they are supposed to admin (servers, routers etc) should have them taken away... And given to me. heh. or donated to LJ... yeah... thats it!
