Looking for a teenage blogger to appear on MSNBC tonight

UPDATE: They found their candidate. Thanks so much to everyone who responded! You can tune in tonight at 6pm PST (rebroadcast at 11pm PST) to see the interview.
------------
Have you ever made a mistake in sharing too much personal information on your journal, and then scaled back because you had a bad experience and felt unsafe? Or do you know a friend who went through something similar? Do you now take cautionary measures to make sure you're blogging in a safe manner?

We're helping the Rita Cosby Live & Direct show, MSNBC's #1 show, to find a teenage blogger who is willing to speak on their show tonight about the dangers of sharing personal information on a blog. They'd really like someone who has perhaps made mistakes in the past (or has a friend who has) and decided to take measures to make their online posts safer and more private.

They are looking for a blogger who is:
* 18 or 19 years old
* Lives in a major US city (the show producers will need to book a TV studio nearby with a live satellite feed)
* Is available for a pre-screening phone call with the show producer in the next few hours
* Is available between approximately 8pm to 10pm EST tonight to travel to the TV studio and appear live on air via satellite for a short segment. The show producers will provide transportation to and from the studio.

If you fit these guidelines that they're looking for, please send an email to ljkrissy AT livejournal.com with your name, age, journal URL, and a paragraph about your story and why you think you would be a good candidate for this interview.

The show producers will be making the final selection for who they would like to interview, and they will be making a selection in the next hour. Thanks for reading this and look for more opportunities in the future!

(By the way, we know many of you have a lot of great things to say on this subject but aren't 18 or 19 years old -- but that's the age range that the show requested.)
