Now giving politics a try!
I'm not a politician and no one here is kidding themselves, so I'll keep it short. My name is Megan, known as withserendipity and formerly she_eats_worlds, and I am running for a position as a LJ User Representative.
Experience has made me stronger and wiser. I've modded my own communities and currently oversee what is allegedly the largest roleplaying community on the site, so BELIEVE me, I have plenty of experience with diplomacy and damage control. I've survived the blackouts and the bans and I've seen 'em all come and go. I've been on LJ since there were only 3 icons and about 12 layouts available for any user.
More importantly, perhaps: please note that I am fully literate and well within control of my own vocabulary and grammar! Eat your heart out, Myspace.
Fandom has suffered through a lot of miscommunication, and I think it's time we had someone sitting up there with the big guys to put in a good word on our side. Frank the Goat and two thousand Harry Potters - if that isn't intercommunity cooperation, I just don't know what is.
