Does the entry have to be public for the contest, or can it be friends-only?

We're looking at public responses for this giveaway.

Too bad. Having been stalked online, I very rarely, if ever, post a public response.

I get the point - as a private or FO post doesn't really get the message out the way it's intended, but for some of us (like me, who has been cyber-stalked more than once, even by my own FAMILY), a public post is simply out of the question.

Can you be from anywhere to be eligible? For example, from Europe?

European entries are eligible for this giveaway as well.

If the contestant is chosen at random, then what you post doesn't matter, its just that one makes post that from an electronic file standpoint is a reply to the prompt?

I'm wondering if off-topic replies can win (if the winner is random) or if this is more of an essay contest (in which case you may get some moving stories but not a lot of truth).

If it's an essay contest then I'm bound to lose because I wrote two sentences max. :\

No worries, it's not an essay contest. :-)

I hope you guys actually review the responses before you actually select the winner, though. Because it's kind of not fair if someone wins based on like a couple lines (that may not even answer the question) rather than someone who at least took a decent amount of time to respond. Not exactly an essay, but...not a quick and hurried response, either.

My entry doesn't show up in the list of answers, (it never does when I answer a writer's block question,) but it is here.
