Updates to Omniture on LiveJournal

We’re making a change to the way we've been gathering statistics on LiveJournal and wanted to let you know the plan and details in advance.

Back in January, we announced that we'd start using Omniture SiteCatalyst as the system that lets us dig deeper into how members and visitors use LiveJournal. Back then, we had only used Omniture's tracking ( Read more... )

The thing is, people just don't get that they need to take responsibility for their own information distribution. There's a hack or method for preventing all of it, but it requires being proactive. Alas, most people want it done for them.

Thank you! Sheesh, the fact that people actually believe anything they put onto a server they don't own or maintain is "private" makes me chuckle.
