Advisory Board Election

We're about to kick off the election process for the user-representative positions on the Advisory Board. At this time, we'd like to give you the dates and details on how it will work. Next, any user who puts themselves forward will need to obtain 100 comments of support in order to become a candidate. We ask each user who would like to support a candidate or candidates to comment stating "I support this nomination" or words to that effect.
Er, what's to stop people from creating multiple accounts and supporting a whole lot?

This is going to be full of SO MUCH WANK OMG.

It's going to be fucking ridiculous. I wonder if anyone we know will run. It's almost certain we'll be within six degrees or something. This is going to be very silly and entertaining.

:D Six degrees of LJ Pseudo-popularity? Sound like my high school elections (except for the LJ part). My votes were always easily gained through bribing with candy.

-Only accounts created before March 11, 2008 may vote in this year's poll
-Only one account per email address may vote

That's for the voting in the final poll, though. Are they going to comb through the comments on each post (many of which will not be in support and may just be goofy or pointless) and check each supporting comment for those qualifications? If so, cool, but that wasn't clear.
