I'm back, exam's done, &c. (This is completely random, but I adore the &c. way of typing etc. Dunno why, but I just do. Possibly because the first time I saw it was on my first reading of Pride and Prejudice in year 7, and I <3 that book!) The improvisation was horrible, but I wasn't expecting it to be good. At first we were played a Hairy Gelliwell track, which would've been fairly easy to just flow to, but then the CD froze up and so instead we had to use Closest Thing to Crazy, which I love, but it's so hard to improvise to. I was totally off the beat. But never mind. I didn't make any other monumental cock-ups, so that's okay!
Our dance was to M People - Movin' on Up. The dance always tires me out, so after I'd done it I was knackered, and seriously oxygen deprived due to the extra effort I'd put in. The thing with exams is that it's really quiet in there. So I was having to fight my initial impulse, which was to pant like a doggle. It took me ages to get my breath back!
The free amalgamation was hard. This is where the examiner makes up something to some random music and we have to practise it a few times before doing it one at a time. Ours was to
McFly - Obviously. I love that song, so I wanted to start jiggling along to the music rather than concentrating on the coupé turns and accented hops (bleargh).
Now I really ought to get on with my History coursework - it's due in on Monday! Actually, that reminds me - I got quoted on this week's
ljdq, so
yay!
