Stupid People
So, my geology professor said that in 40 years the West end of Galveston (the one with all the billion-dollar beach side houses on stilts) will be nearly 4/5s under water and at the BEST 1/3.
The problem is that Galveston is already a low island, even with it artificially raised up since the 1900 hurricane. Not only that, but as sealevels are rising, the island is actually slowly sinking because petroleum is being pumped out from under it!
Either my professor is full of b.s. or about 1/4 of Galveston in inhabited by wealthy morons.
I'm gonna feed my sea monkeys now...
