fire in the sky
or in the ceiling, actually.
One of the heating units in the very old, crappy building in which I work caught fire. Everyone is fine. This is the second time in 5 years this has happened. We also have had water leaks from the ceiling almost anytime it rains. and we've had multiple sewage leaks come up through the floor (Eeewww). this building was supposed to have been demolished in 1997, but then my employer decide they needed the office space (it used to be a clinic) and re=populated it.
Apparently my employer has a different understanding of the law of diminishing returns than most of us who work in this building. And you would think that a health care company would want a building that looks--er-- healthy and safe. When the fire department wonders why we're still using this building, you know it's bad.
I suppose we'll be smelling that nasty burned electrical equipment smell for a day or two.
