Back to the grindstone

So I'm well and truly back home now and quickly falling into my old slothful ways.  I tell myself that the exercise makes no difference to my life overall but I know that is simply not true.
I took a very drastic step yesterday.  I have always used my hair as my excuse why I can't do daily exercise or swim.  The continual washing of my hair and the exposure to pool chemicals wrecks it plus I have to then spend half an hour a day straightening it.
So, off it all came and it looks ridiculous.  I now look every one of my 50 years and I now know that a bit of hair length in a nice style makes a woman look much younger than short hair.
I decided to go to one of the top salons and the hairdresser I got was Japanese.  He could barely speak engrish and I'm pretty sure he didn't understand how I wanted my hair done.  He had to cut it three times to get close to what I wanted but, after two hours, he still stuffed it.  My fringe is now about an inch long, making my face look a metre long.  From the tips of the now short hair on top of my head to where those hairs used to end is 32cm.  That's a lot to lose!
Joel reckons I look like a dyke.
Still, I have no excuses now and I just need an attitudinal shift for the better and I'll be on my way!
