i officially hate flood brook school. not that i didn't hate it throughout the nine years i spent there, but today i've decided it is official. they're so impossibly unorganized. every time i sub there i feel entirely lost all day long. when i walk into mems, they hand me a folder telling me where i'm subbing and giving me a schedule, list of students, emergency plans, and a few other things i've never used, like emergency medical info. even on days i'm a "floater" i know where i'm supposed to be and what i should be doing. when i'm para-ing, the classroom teacher lets me know what i can do to help. none of this happens at flood brook. i think the most constructive thing i did today was photocopying. i worked in a kindergarten room all day. the classroom teacher never introduced me to the students, nor did she give me the opportunity to do so when the class was all together. grrrr. and yet, i'm subbing there again on tuesday. oh well, it is better than sitting at home. and i do get paid.
hmmm. i need to decide whether or not i want to take subbing jobs at the end of next week. my mother's driving to willow grove thursday morning. and i could go thursday night or friday morning if i need to...
