hey my peoplez. I think shame drives both stupidity and acts of heroism. because if you are in a war but you really don't want to be, you're still going to try to survive and do everything possible to live. but you still have that feeling of not wanting to be there and so you don't feel courageous. it can drive stupidity because you want to get the war over with, so you might commit stupid actions. if you are in the middle of some crisis you won't stop and think of the right solution, you might do anything just to get out of the situation. if you have courage then you will only have acts of heroism and not stupidity. courage is defined as "The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery." If you have courage you are able to face anything.
