the thing:
I'm home in SoFla. I've been really stressing out about school. I have papers that have yet to be written, let alone turned in. My fault. My father's laid out and in a great deal of pain. Not my fault. He has herniated discs in his spine which my mother described to me and which now haunt even my waking dreams. About the only good thing to come out of it is that he cannot shave, and so he is growing a beard. My dad looks good in a beard.
Anyway, those are reasons why I have been absent from the internets and all non-updatey about the Lauren thing.
BUT.
It looks like I've finally gotten a paypal account up and running (I'm almost positive), so anyone who would like to donate to the Lauren's Alone In Atlanta Relief Fund (for those of you who missed the original post, Emily and I are trying to raise money to buy Lauren V. a PS2 with a memory stick and a Katamari Damacy game disc) can do so by paypal-ing to:

once again, if we can get 16 or so people to donate 12 dollars each, we can cover it without a problem. I won't be seeing her until well after Christmas anyway, so there's no crazy rush. Still, the sooner the better.

I'll produce regular updates from now on with little thermometer graphics depicting where we are in our fundraising efforts. It'll be just like Jerry's Kids.
