Another month, another trip to The Globe. Pretty much love that place! This time to see 'Much Ado About Nothing', which I studied at school - and despite that, wasn't put off it at all, which is nothing short of a miracle. Excellent, excellent production - hilarious and sad when it needed to be. Could have done without the girls stood behind me, though, one of whom seemed to having to explain what was going on to her companion. Cos, that's not rude and disrespectful to the actors or anything - and at the Globe there is no distance between you and them, there are right there in front of you so basically shut the fuck up.
At the end of May my friend Ruth got married. Absolutely lovely day, really enjoyable. I made, with mum's help, 132 cupcakes for them which was basically their wedding cake. It's not as much fun as you'd think baking and icing 132 cupcakes! But we did it and they looked fab even though I say so myself. In fact, Ruth told me that people were coming up to her and Matt (her husband) and saying they couldn't believe that they hadn't paid a lot for both the cupcakes and the flowers (which our friend James arranged for them) because they all looked so professional and amazing. Quite smug about that, as you can imagine!
