(no subject)
A while since I wrote anything here last...would like to say it is because I have been living a wild jet set lifestyle but sadly no. Just haven't gotten around to it really!!
Got some chickens today. Essentially they are my dad's, but I do rather adore them. Lovely beasts. Two of them are your bog stardard chicken type of chicken and the others are some sort of fancy breed that we can't quite work out (we think they are a Polish Chamois or something like that - they have a big 'globe' of feathers around their heads) We got them from someone my cousin knows who bought them for their daughter who lost interest in them - this same girl apparently also lost interest in a horse. Now, chickens are ten a penny, a horse is rather a bigger prospect and a lot trickier to get rid of. Anyhoo, we have the hens now and we have renamed them cos they had frankly crap names. The two big ones are Hester and Edith and the two little ones are called Lydia and Kitty. Great stuff.
books since last updating...can't quite remember but I think I have read 'North by Northanger' and 'The matters at Mansfield' by Carrie Bebris, ' Crocodile on the Sandback' by Elizabeth Peters, 'The Keeper of Secrets' by Judith Cutler, 'An Assembly Such as This' by Pamela Aidan...and I think that's it.
