I like it when my hair smells like incense.

I especially love the incense they use around Pascha that smells like roses. Or maybe I'm thinking of our ancient Plachinitsa, which smells like rose oil.

Although church incense, like most strong scents, has made me ill before.

Isn't it cool how certain smells remind you of certain times of year, or places, or something? There is incense that reminds me of Holy Week, and certain incenses remind me of Russia a lot... it's cool.

I don't think church incense has made me ill, though other incense often does.

I've definitely gotten sick, what with the standing for hours and the incense. I got used to the incense, but standing still is not my friend. I can't usually make it through a service without having to sit at least once. And it has nothing to do with being out of shape, either, I just can't stand.

And now I have to sit most of the Liturgy, or else Gnarly rebels.

Well, there is nothing wrong with sitting in church! I don't like pews, but hey, you need to sit, you need to sit. Especially now. :)

By that I meant, I think there should be seats available, but I don't like pews in rows, in churches. Hopefully that was clear!

I know what you mean :) I don't like pews in Orthodox churches, either, but our church has them.
