The summer is almost over, and I haven't done half the things I wanted to do in it.  My family and I are going to Mt. Rainier at the end of September though,  I think, and that is exciting. I am hoping to go camping, probably the first weekend of September, since I am going to a conference for work next weekend, and Labor Day will be so crowded everywhere.

My condo is still lovely--I am looking for a roommate right now, don't have someone yet though. There are blackberries right out behind it, and I picked 5 cups on Saturday evening. They aren't quite in their prime yet, I should get more than that when they are. And no one else seems to pick them. I have my very own blackberries, sheltered from the road, right outside my house!

In my very small garden (it's in pots, this time I'll really try to post pictures!) I have tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini, as well as herbs. The tomatoes all have fruit on them, and I've had one ripe cherry tomato so far (yummmm.... this is the reason to grow tomatoes. Next year I want to grow more!) two cucumbers that are nearly ripe. The zucchini have produced many flowers, but no fruit that I can see so far (what is wrong with them??).

The Dormition fast is over (for us! for those on the Old Calendar it's not even half over). I am never sure what to think of the Dormition fast. Greek churches have more of an emphasis on it, it seems--they have Paraklesis services.

I know I haven't been posting much as per usual... I have things I would like to write about but it is hard for me to share my thoughts, sometimes. I would like to write them and perhaps figure out what they are!
