I went on another Urban Nature Walk with
urbpan and several others at
Cutler Park Reservation in Needham this morning. I used to live not far from this place, and passed it by many times but had never been into it. Cutler is a marsh on the Charles River, and there is a boardwalk running through the wettest parts.
We saw lots of birds and bugs and interesting flora. It was a gorgeous morning, bright and sunny and not too hot. Perfect first day of June.
Jef was very excited about the velvet ant he found:
There were a few new folks, including one who brought his border collies, who kept us in line throughout the walk.
It was a fun group, and a fun walk!
