We had some unexpected snow this weekend. When I watched the forecast yesterday morning, they were calling for maybe an inch of wet snow. A couple hours later, huge flakes started falling (and sticking). I moved my car to the front of the driveway just in case, and took a walk over to the river to take snow pictures. By the time I got back, we had over an inch already. By late in the afternoon, we had over 4" and it was still coming down. I cleared off the deck, stairs, and car, and went back up for some hot chocolate. When the plow guy got here, I went back down to move my car for him, and hoped we wouldn't get much more.
This morning, it started snowing again. We got maybe another inch before the sky cleared and the sun came out. It was gorgeous! I walked down to the park, where a couple kids were sledding down the hill there. Everything sparkled in the sunshine.
I didn't really mind the snow this time, because I didn't have anywhere I had to go. I was able to get out walking, and it wasn't a huge chore to shovel. If only all our snow events were so convenient.
I'm glad we have tomorrow off, so I can get my errands done. And tonight is the premiere of Sherlock series three! I'm ever so excited. I've managed to stay relatively spoiler-free.
A year ago today, I was in New York, getting my tattoo. Hard to believe that was a whole year ago!
