We're a bit past peak color now, but the trees are still putting on a show. Today was bright and sunny, so I went over to Gates Pond to capture some of that glory.
It sure is pretty. Driving around, catching sight of a tree in full color is just breathtaking.
The forecast for the coming week is rather chilly, so I decided today would be a good day to finally take the a/c unit out of the window. My landlord, who happened to be here raking leaves, helped me take it down to the basement. I also put down the storm windows, as it's been a bit drafty even with the windows closed. It's nice and cozy in here now.
I was planning on going to a cookout at a friend's place yesterday, but as the morning wore on I felt worse and worse. Headache and a slightly upset tummy. So I went back to bed and actually slept for a couple hours. Feeling better today, thank goodness. Just a one-day thing. I wish it hadn't been on a day I had plans, though!
