I took a very chilly walk on my lunch break this afternoon. Not everything is brown and grey; there are a few jewels to be found amongst the dead leaves lining the ground.
Along with flowers blooming out of season, the skunk cabbage also appears to be confused.
There were several coming up along the edge of the water, but due to the poor light, this was the only picture that came out in focus.
Mother Nature is providing for next season, though.
I stopped at CVS on the way back, and ran into my boss in the chocolate aisle. Great minds think alike. *g*
