What I love about this photo is that you can't tell where the trees end and the reflection begins. This is the view from that little bridge in the woods, heading downstream.
It's been a perfect September day: cool, crisp morning, sunny and warm (but not hot), a slight breeze, a few puffy clouds. This is the kind of day that makes me love September.

I wore my sneakers on my walk, and my feet were really sore when I got home. I really, *really* need new walking shoes or sneakers. That has moved way up on the list of things I need to get when I have money to spend.
It was nice to have an extra day off. I didn't sleep late though, as usual. Instead, I bagged up all the loose paper laying around to recycle, and went through the rest of my makeup, tossing lots more. Geez, I had a lot! Of course, I worked in cosmetics for a lot of years, and a lot of it was old stuff that I had gotten for free. I sure do miss getting free makeup! There were a lot of lipsticks I knew I would never wear, and mascara & eyeliner that would probably be a bad idea to use, and powders that weren't quite the right shade, etc. I also cleaned out my metal makeup kit, and put everything I was keeping into it. Holy cow, all my makeup is in one place now!
I have more stuff to drag out to the dumpster, including the little chest of drawers I emptied out last week. It's falling apart, and isn't worth trying to fix. Plus, it tends to be a place where clutter gathers, and that's not good. So I'm taking things out as I do laundry: one load of laundry, one load of trash or recycling. It's a good system. *g*
