little things
Little things make me happy. It doesn't take much: a kind word, an unexpected treat, something funny. Today, Elvis and Star Trek made me happy. My customer, A Ray of Elvis, came in to place an ad for an upcoming show. He's doing a benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of a local soldier who lost his legs in Iraq, and then was killed in a car accident over the summer. So tragic. Ray, with his diamond ring and Elvis sideburns, just makes me smile. :)
Then I got an email from Netflix, letting me know that Star Trek is on its way to me. Squee! I think I'll keep this one for a few days, and watch it a few times. I was afraid I wouldn't get it for at least a month, but somehow my timing was just right. Yay!
The niece is performing in The Wiz this weekend. Anyone want to go to the matinee on Saturday with me? It's in Canton. I plan to go to the SEF coffeehouse from there.
Also, I am on vacation next week, and available for hikes, movies, or coffee with locals. Anyone up for a couple hours of fun? Let me know!
